Hello, students and parents! My name is Mrs. Hitt and I will be your Computer Science teacher this year at Thomas Johnson Elementary Middle School. That’s right…Computer Science. As of the 2019-2020 school year, all Technology classes in Baltimore City Public Schools transitioned to Computer Science classes. What does that mean for your students? We will be using the Code.org curriculum to become familiar with a variety of skills and processes that are involved in coding computer programming! Not only will the students learn about basic coding skills with the Code.org “blockly” coding curriculum, but they will also work on and strengthening their logical thinking skills and their ability to persevere.
The purpose of this site is for me to post additional resources students may need during class or at home. It also allows me to provide students with various educational resources they may need in one easy-to-find spot. Students can also access fun, but educational, activities from all content areas that they can work on in free time.
